I feel like at some point I blinked and woke up in 2019. I don’t know how we got here so quickly but I am so excited to take on this new year with some new things coming for my business. Some of you may have noticed that things look a bit different around here— starting with a new name! In 2018 our family went through some major events & it made us take a step back and re-evaluate how we needed to do things differently moving forward. Last June, Alex and I launched a non-profit in our tiny town of Hogansville called Pedal Forward. About a week later we learned that we were expecting another baby (Liam Kyle is due in February)! Everything seemed to happen all at once. Something that is really important to us moving forward as we grow our family is to be present with our kids. We don’t want to miss out on their lives for the sake of our business or non-profit. To do that, we knew we had to make some necessary changes for this coming year! Those changes would include healthy boundaries so we could move forward successfully in each area. We truly believe these changes & boundaries are ones that will be best for our family, business & clients!
We are no longer “The Abrahams Photography.” I (Emilee) am taking over our business as a solo business woman! Alex will definitely still be involved and will continue to shoot SOME of my weddings with me but, this change allows for Alex to be free for two different reasons: 1. If we need him to be at home with one or both babies while I am working OR 2. be available if Pedal Forward has a major event or opportunity! This will release us from the expectations from our clients for Alex to be there with me all the time.
I am focusing primarily on WEDDINGS. I will take on the occasional lifestyle session but my primary focus is going to be on weddings & my couples. Which leads me to number 3…
I am only booking up to 12 weddings in 2019! I believe this is going to allow me to focus in on my couples & give them the experience with me that I always have desired to give. I will be able to spend more time through the engagement season with my couples & be MORE than just a photographer for them. I want to connect with my couples on a deeper level & provide the best possible experience I can.
There are so many changes for the coming year but I am so excited & hopeful for all they are going to bring! I am still booking for 2019 & would love to chat with any couple that is still looking for the perfect photographer fit for their day! Cheers to this new season, the new year & all it holds for each of us!
