Trent & Nancy

a beautiful proposal story

I was first contacted by Nancy's bestie, Madison. She told me a little bit about Trent & Nancy and that she was helping Trent find a photographer for his proposal. Madison passed my information on to Trent and I am SO GLAD she did! A few days later Trent emailed me with a few more questions. After all details were settled we met the week before he was planning to propose at his Grandmothers house where he was planning to do it. The property is beautiful with an open pasture. Nancy and Trent spend every Sunday afternoon there eating to the full all the delicious food his Grandmother prepares for his family every week. This spot means so much to them so Trent knew it's where he wanted to ask Nancy to spend the rest of their lives together. Trent and I came up with a plan that included roses & champagne. It was going to be simple but just enough to make Nancy question what was going on when she saw it as they walked closer to it in the pasture. 

When I arrived to the property on Saturday, I got busy with setting up the flowers & bucket that Trent had prepared for his proposal. I placed it in the middle of a heart shaped cut out that his dad mowed for the occasion. It was so sweet to arrive and see all of Trent's thought out details come to life. Trent's dad was kind enough to cut out a little spot for me (completed with camping chairs) in the bushes. It gave me a perfect view of Nancy and Trent walking to the pasture and I was GIDDY as I patiently awaited for them to arrive. As they cut through the pasture I jumped out from my spot in the bushes and followed them as they made their way to the roses & champagne. Every moment unfolded PERFECTLY. After Nancy said YES we took a little time and got some AMAZING photos in celebration of their new engagement! Champagne was popped and we marveled at Nancy's BEAUTIFUL ring! 

After the proposal I said my "goodbye" to Nancy and Trent. Little did Nancy know there were MORE surprises in store for her! I made my way to Trent's parents house where their families (including Nancy's older sister who flew in as another surprise from HAWAII!!!) and best friends were eagerly awaiting their arrival! As Nancy and Trent pulled in Nancy burst into tears. It was the sweetest reunion to watch her and her sister come together as everyone was cheering and celebrating! There is no doubt in my mind that these two people are LOVED fiercely and in return, love deeply. It was an honor to be part of your story, friends.
